Echo Cancellation for International Gateways

Ditech Networks' Hybrid Echo Cancellation (HEC) solutions completely remove the annoying hybrid echo frequently encountered on international calls. Overview

In international gateways, hybrid echo is present due to the digital-to-analog conversion at the 4-wire to 2-wire hybrid. International calls often travel over long distances, with significant propagation delay that makes echo more noticeable. Switching, signal processing, and propagation delay also contribute to the total end-to-end signal delay. International gateway switches may not include hybrid echo cancellation, or the echo cancellation performance may be inadequate.
