Ditech Networks' Packet Voice Processor is the industry's first purpose-built speech processing platform for IP networks.
The Packet Voice Processor can be deployed in the network's core or at the border, and delivers high call throughput and low call delay times that significantly exceed the performance of voice or codec features on media gateways and session border controllers.
By deploying Ditech's voice quality and transcoding products on the Packet Voice Processor, communications providers no longer need to sacrifice performance by implementing similar, less robust applications as an afterthought on existing equipment.
When deployed at the border, the Packet Voice Processor can convert almost any kind of codec deployed on access or peering links to a commonly used codec that supports the core network. This protects the core network from a proliferation of codecs, and makes the deployment of additional core voice services less costly.
Like all of Ditech's carrier-grade, future-proof platforms, the Packet Voice Processor is highly adaptable and easily reconfigured or upgraded while in service to meet operations needs or to accommodate new technologies. The Packet Voice Processor is used to deploy Ditech's voice quality and transcoding products in IP networks, all of which are managed by Ditech's NetConsul Element Management System.
