Ditech’s Packet Voice Processor set to perform Transcoding for enhanced SIP interoperability
Mountain View, California, June 7, 2007 – Ditech Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: DITC), a leader in the development of voice processing systems for communications networks, announced today that it will be promoting IMS interoperability through its participation in IMS Forum’s “IMS Plugfest™ II.” interoperability test event to be held June 4-8 at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Lab in Durham, NH. Ditech’s Packet Voice Processor (PVP) will help to showcase the latest advancements in IMS applications and services by performing transcoding and media enhancement functions as a Media Resource Function in the IMS architecture and enhancing interoperability for SIP-based signaling.

“We are very happy to have Ditech Networks back once again as a participant in our Plugfest II,” said Michael Khalilian chairman and president of the IMS Forum and CTO of Pervasip Corp. “Ditech performed well in our first Plugfest. Its continued participation adds to the strength of this event. They bring with them an extensive track record of improving the overall voice quality of experience in the IMS architecture.”
“This Plugfest provides an excellent environment for Ditech to demonstrate how IMS products and services are evolving and better approaches to develop these applications for the future,” said Todd Simpson, vice president of marketing for Ditech Networks. “We are eager to collaborate with participants at this event and to help ensure that interoperability amongst IMS elements is enhanced through the process.”
The IMS Plugfest II is the second in a series of open testing events that are designed to foster interoperability by establishing an industry-recognized Interoperability certification for IMS services and applications. The Plugfest testing events are creating industry-recognized interoperability test plans for IMS applications and services, allowing service providers to expedite IMS service rollout. The first Plugfest focused on interoperability of the IMS transport layer. Building on Plugfest I, the second Plugfest event, or Plugfest II tests interoperability for VoIP, IP Centrex, SMS and Fixed-Mobile Convergence functionality.
Results of IMS Plugfest II will be announced at NXTComm 2007. Ditech Networks also will be exhibiting at NXTComm at Booth 4819.
